Learn More About Dr. McDonald

Dr. Jean McDonald is a native Wisconsinite. She earned a B.A. degree in English and a B.S. in meat and animal sciences, and she taught school prior to earning her doctorate in veterinary medicine in 1987 as a member of University of Wisconsin-Madison Veterinary School’s charter class.

During her seven-and-a-half years of diversified experience in a small animal hospital in Milwaukee, Dr. McDonald’s lifelong affinity for cats developed into a goal of specializing in – and limiting her practice to – the care and treatment of felines. She joined the Cream City Kitty Clinic in February 1995.

Dr. McDonald is well qualified in both surgery and internal medicine. Having experience living with kitties suffering from diabetes, kidney disorders, and the many problems often associated with these chronic illnesses, she has a special interest in these diseases and other problems associated with aging in cats.
